Tarryall Reservoir is a small lake of about 175 acres on Tarryall Creek in the northeast corner of South Park, at about 8,900 feet, on a State Wildlife Area under the Tarryall Mountains. It holds stocked rainbows and northern pike, and it gets far less pressure than Elevenmile and Spinney to the south.
Rainbows cruise the shallows after ice-off, when chironomids and small leeches work from a float tube or the bank, and pike take streamers along the weed edges in early summer and fall. The statewide rules apply. Tarryall Creek above and below the reservoir is good small-stream water too.
