Troutline

Terms of Use

Effective May 21, 2026

Overview

Troutline ("we", "us") publishes fly fishing conditions — river gauge data, weather and air quality forecasts, snowpack and runoff outlooks, hatch information, and editorial guides. By accessing the site you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, don't use the site.

Ownership and license

The site — including its design, editorial content, compilations, and the way data is organized and presented — is owned by Troutline and protected by copyright and other laws. All rights are reserved except as expressly granted here.

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to view and use the site for your own non-commercial, recreational fishing-planning purposes. You may not scrape, copy, redistribute, resell, or build a competing or commercial product from our content or compilations without our prior written permission.

Underlying data sources

Much of the raw data we present originates from public agencies — including USGS, NOAA NWS and NWPS, USDA NRCS, EPA AirNow, California Data Exchange Center, Colorado's CDSS, and state fish and wildlife agencies. Those underlying facts carry their own terms and are generally in the public domain; our terms govern our compilation, editorial framing, and presentation of that data, not the raw public facts themselves.

No warranty

Conditions data and forecasts are provided "as is" for informational purposes and may be delayed, incomplete, or inaccurate. Always check official sources and use your own judgment before heading out on the water. We are not liable for decisions made based on information from the site.

Changes

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. The effective date above reflects the most recent revision.
